im subletting my room from june-sept its in a luxury apt in midtown west, fully-furnished and very clean (because im a neat freak) comes with free breakfast in the lounge and a lot more!!

it's that time of the month again. however i find myself not as obsessed with chips and chocolate. but good god. the ice cream cravings are wayyy out of control.
after having dumplings and udon for dinner, we went to this gourmet ice cream place called Sundaes & Cones for dessert. i had the yummiest coffee/ice cream dessert ever. my very first time to try Affogato (an espresso drink) with ice cream. it's like you choose whatever ice cream flavor you want and then they pour piping hot espresso over it. i got the liquer-laden tiramisu (the best tiramisu ice cream in my opinion) and they poured the espresso over it. hay nako i was just in heaven. haha i was freezing my butt off on the way home but it was so worth it.
when i got home i ate another quarter of a pint of Ciao Bella ice cream. i looove their key lime with graham cracker swirl flavor. it's the very first flavor i've tried from this brand and i intend to try all the flavors by buying a pint every week.
ahhh life's little pleasures. seriously. i'm excited to wake up everyday just so i can eat another quarter of a pint. anyway these are the other flavors i want to try:
chocolate madness
coconut
green tea and white chocolate chunks
tiramisu
butter pecan
chocolate (the valrhona one)
cookie dough
fresh mint with chocolate chip

i want a copy of vanity fair's july issue! i'm so tempted to subscribe but just thinking about how many magazines get jammed in my mailbox every month is enough to give me nightmares. i used to get so excited about buying magazines here in manila even if the price of one is worth almost an entire subscription in the states. but then when i had to read them for school month after month, i couldn't take it anymore.
off the top of my head, i think i have subscription to the following: Vogue, Lucky, The Wall Street Journal, Women's Wear Daily, The Economist, Teen Vogue, Nylon (a free subscription c/o Urban Outfitters) and InStyle. talk about information overload.
the first two months, i was so excited to receive them but after that, they started to annoy me. i never thought it'd get that crazy. well anyway, that's why i've decided to just buy the issues i really want instead of subscribing.
  
i want to be friends with amanda seyfried and blake lively because they look like fun people to be with. hahaha parang i feel if i'm friends with them i'll always be laughing and having fun--good clean fun, not fun the way la lohan defines it. i'll probably be their poor, ugly, untalented friend, the one with only half her face in tabloid pictures but who cares. haha ok i sound like a total ditz now.
ang ganda ng mamma mia. i've been humming their songs (and i just downloaded their entire soundtrack) since i watched the movie two weeks ago. my mom's ringtone is mamma mia. i want it to be my ringtone too but well, i have such a bulok phone wala na pag-asa magdownload ng ringtone. haha i'm thinking of getting a blackberry or an iPhone when i get to ny. but i'm too kuripot to spend on a brand new phone.
i'm so bored. i want to try pepper lunch in rockwell and Elbert's Steakhouse in makati. who's not on a diet? i need company. |

at home we have the slowest internet known to man. makes me want to pull my hair out. good god.
and then last night, misato (at metrowalk) served us panis crazy makis. and i had no idea it was panis until after one of my cousins freaked out. by then i had already eaten two orders of that goddamned thing. at least they didn't make us pay for the six orders of crazy makis. but my gosh, i was glued to the toilet bowl the entire night.
only in da pilipins.

is it really 2008 already? i mean.. i feel like i just graduated from college and in a few months it'll be a year since i graduated from college. things just happen so fast.
anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! and as always, i hope everyone is where they're supposed to be at this very moment, extremely thankful that they're alive to see another day/another year. :)
sometimes we take so long to do things and take forever to decide. i'm guilty of this so this year, instead of making a bazillion resolutions (that i forget throughout the year), i've decided to just stick to one and that is, to DO THINGS FASTER. do everything right away and decide quickly! okay except for shopping and eating.. no more impulse buying and pigging out (because i must've gained 5 pounds in new york!)

It was Maron who tagged me.
Each player of this game starts off with 15 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 15 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end, you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.
15 Weird things/habits/ little known facts about me:
1. I open and close the fridge without actually getting anything. I usually do this twice or thrice, alternating between the two fridges in the kitchen.
2. I only eat chicken wings, no other part.
3. My right foot is half a size bigger than my left foot.
4. I think my arms are fat and someday I wish to have them lipoed.
5. I don't like people lying down on my bed wearing their outside clothes. I also don't like it if they lie down without showering or if they're sweaty.
6. My right ring finger is crooked/bent.
7. I keep buying lipgloss even if I already have tons at home, some of which are still inside the box. I like looking at them.
8. In my presence, all ballpens/signpens/highlighters or any pen for that matter must always have its cap back on if not in use.
9. I can sleep for hours, wake up for an hour or two, and sleep again for hours. In short, I can sleep for hours on end. So far I think the record is 16 hours straight.
10. I love the smell of enclosed parking lots.
11. Recently, I've been putting Cheese Rings inside the Lays Sour Cream and Onion bag and I think they taste good together.
12. I keep pictures of the stuff I want to buy in my iPhoto. Bags, clothes, shoes, makeup, books, accessories, food, etc. And I find pleasure in looking at them even if I know I can't buy them all. (Wut?)
13. I am a sucker for promos. Especially the Complete All (Insert number here) Stamps And Get A Free (Insert item here) kind. Or the Buy One Get (Insert number) kind. Basta may free I fall for it.
14. I do this weird thing with my eyes in order to focus on who I'm talking to. It's like I wrinkle my forehead, look up then squint? Anyway, just ask me to show you when we see each other. :)
15. The smallest toes (do you call them the two toe pinkies?) of my feet have nails SO small they look like they don't have nails.
Much harder than what I initially expected. I thought it was going to be a breeze enumerating a self-proclaimed weirdo's Weird Habits. I commented on Reg's entry and she gave me a C! So here goes...

C for Chocolates..for the simple reason that they make me (almost instantaneously) happy with every bite. Guylian, Teuscher, Ghirardelli, Royce, I could go on and on.
C for Chanel..because I want a Chanel bag. And if I get to own one by next year, I'm going to be one happy, happy duck. A black calfskin tote or a gold patent leather flap handbag (SS07) will do. Haha as if. I know I can't afford it and won't be able to until I'm thirty or forty but it wouldn't hurt to dream big!
C for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf..where I spend my afternoons reading a book or flipping through magazines while drinking my caramel ice blended. I go there so often I have around a thousand bucks worth of credit on my CBTL card.
C for Cartier..because god knows I am a sucker for nice watches and I always check out the Cartier website and store in Shangrila to stare at their beautiful merchandise.
C for Champs-Elysees..since it's my new favorite place in the world and just strolling along that strip (no need to shop but if you can, you should) makes the entire trip to Paris worthwhile.
C for Clothes..oh how I love clothes and dressing up. New York, here I cooooome! :)
C for Closest Friends..I thank my lucky stars every damn day for them. I find no need to name all of them because they know who they are and they know I miss them all terribly.
C for Choices..the luxury of having choices--to do what you REALLY want to do and not what people think you SHOULD do, to do what you LOVE even if it's not exactly the highest-paying job in the world. (I have one year of freedom!)
C for Credit Card..lord knows how much I love and appreciate this tiny piece of plastic where a new month signifies new hope for retail therapy.
C for Cleanliness..I am very particular about this and I just like things clean. Lately I've been so obsessed with this that I scrub my bathroom tiles clean with a toothbrush.
